Winter // Valokuvaus Espoo

23/01/2012 by Johanna 20 Comments

“Never apologize for your own sense of beauty. Nobody can tell you what you should love. Do what you do brazenly and unapologetically. You cannot build your sense of aesthetics on a consensus.”
Cheryl Jacobs Nicolai

One thing I love is Winter. Snow. I went to our nearby woods yesterday before daylight left us and took a few photos. This is what I call home. There I was, snow up to my knees, smiling like a dork. I’m so happy.

I’m so lucky to live this close to nature.

Beautiful set, Johanna! We’ve been lucky this winter and so far the weather was almost spring like :)

So refreshing and serene! We are having the mildest winter ever in SC this year. These images have me longing for a hike in a snowy wood followed by a hot toddy by the fire. ;-)

Oh you are making me so jealous, we have gotten NO SNOW at all not even a possibility in NC. It’s like 70 degrees here today for some reason.

Why aren’t you crediting the quote you are using? It looks now as if you mean for us to think they are your own words.

At the time of writing I didn’t know it was written by someone that should be credited. I got it from some random photo on Facebook that didn’t credit anyone and I didn’t look into it properly. I should have known better. It’s fixed now :) I thought it was obvious that it isn’t my quote since of the ” ” I was using. My own words are always without them.
